The OFCOM Online electronic shop has been set up by the Federal Office of Communications to provide its customers with an option to conduct certain transactions online.
As a registered customer, you can access your account at any time. You can check your data and correct it if necessary. You can also pay bills, using the secure online transaction system.
The pilot project for the implementation of this system was launched in 2007 in collaboration with the Federal Office for Information Technology and Telecommunications (FOITT), the Federal Department of Finance and external companies. The application is based on a system of reusable modules. It paves the way for e-Government applications which it will be possible for other interested federal government agencies to use in the future. It facilitates the provision of new online services. The standardisation concept and the potential for multiple use correspond to the general principles of the Swiss strategy for e-Government.
